Oca
Tuesday to Sunday, 9 am - 5 pm

The largest exhibition of the Chinese plastic artist Ai Weiwei in his first solo show in the country, brings historical works and other unpublished ones born from his cultural immersion of about one year in Brazil. Among the highlights is a series of large works, made with centenary small-vinegar roots found in Trancoso (BA), as well as an installation using the armor alphabet of Ariano Suassuna, and new works exploring materials such as wood, porcelain, leather, seeds, produced in conjunction with local communities and artisans. The exhibition also features iconic works by the artist, now considered one of the top names in the international contemporary scene, to tell part of his story, such as Sunflower Seeds, Straight, Forever Bicycles and Moon Chest.
